I was having a conversation with a brother in Christ on Saturday; we talked about a number of things, one of which is something many of us struggle with: worrying about the future.
He said something quite profound and very relatable to a number of us. He said something along the lines of this, “Life’s like a roller coaster. You can either ride the ride with your hands up not worrying about anything and having fun or you can hold on for dear life scared not knowing where it’s going to turn next.”
I instantaneously wanted to scream for joy as I had an “aha” moment.
Life is going to be a lot of ups and downs. That’s a fact Jack! You can either be scared as heck, worried and nervous about what’s going to happen next. Living in fear like the devil wants us to.
We can let it ride. Make the best of everyday. Having fun, screaming for joy and laughter and most importantly being grateful and thankful for the present day. Living in Faith. Faith that God or whatever higher power you believe loves you know matter what. Faith that things are going to work out. Faith that you are going to die a happy man/woman.
I think I’ll just choose option two.
